About Jocelyn
Let’s grow our faith Together
I am so happy you are here! If you are curious about my background and journey towards Christian Coaching, take a peek down below at my bio.
So, normally people start their bios with where they were born and raised, where they went to school, and even their personal hobbies. While those things are nice to know, I won’t be doing that, lol. Rather, in the next few sentences, I hope to share more about my pain which God strategically used to lead me to my purpose and calling.
I spent the last 15 years working a “typical” 9-5 in the matrix full-time job. I worked hard, and I climbed the ranks in my field achieving the 6-figure dream. I thought I had made it. But deep inside, I felt empty. Initially, I had no spiritual foundation and no connectivity to Christ. I sought joy in career and financial accomplishments. My identity and self-worth were attached to my job title, salary, and the luxury items I was able to afford. I became burnt out, physically sick, and mentally ill. Then things took a turn.
In 2021, I cried out to God to show himself to me, to enter my life, and He did! I began to seek after him ferverently and my life changed. I began santifying myself in many ways, studying the word, and attending church. While my spiritual life increased, I still felt void of purpose and direction in my life, so again, I cried out to God to reveal why he put me on this earth. For a while, God was silent, as he was still preparing me for what was ahead.
In late 2023, God took me OWT, do you hear me! He forced me to sit down from my busy days of working endless hours and hustling to secure a my coins in a job that I had zero interest in. I became so ill physically and mentally that I had to take a medical leave of absence from work. I was in utter dispair as I did not know who I was outside of my identify in the workforce and as a “boss.” During those months of sitting down in the stillness of doctors appointments and therapy rooms, God began to speak to me clearly and revealed my purpose and calling to become a Christian Coach. He showed me that my life had greater purpose and that I could build a marketplace ministry that served others AND allowed me to live a softer life with less stress and more peace. I left the workforce and began Jocelyn Denee Consulting, LLC in 2024. At this point, my story is only half written. I look forward to what God has in store for me and all those I am blessed to serve.
Now that the heavy stuff is out of the way lol, let me do the typical speil about where I am from and my hobbies lol. I was born and raised in the great state of Texas and still reside there today. However, in alignment with my number one pastime, international travel, I seek to soon leave Texas to explore living abroad as an expat and digital nomad. I was raised by two great parents and have both an older and younger brother, all of whom love the Lord! My educational background is in psychology and my former career was in the education sector. In my free time, I nerd out on Youtube content about Christian growth and development and travel (go figure). Thank you for reading my story! Check me out on Youtube @Jocelyn-Denee to learn more!
My Philosophy
Harnessing Your God-Given Potential
I believe that our deepest pains and shame often lead us to our purpose and calling. The challenge is, often times, we get so burried inside those areas of hurt that we never triumph over them to see that God used these experiences as a teacher and catalyst to help others who struggle in similar areas. God has shown me that 1) PAIN typically begets 2) PREPARATION for the next season and level in our lives. If we are able to 3) PERSEVERE through these times, we come out refined by the fire into our 4) PURPOSE (Calling). As such, my coaching philophy starts with identifying the pain points and following the (PPPP) process to help others reach their purpose and calling.
